Wimpole Hall stands out with its striking two and a half mile boulevard. Wimpole Hall was an American hospital during WWII. The southern end of the boulevard was used as a parking area for B17's at nearby Bassingbourn.

Turning left base for Nuthamstead 25, visible as the green triangle between all the corn fields. One of the few former B17 bases in area that still retains a connection to aviation with a single hangar housing a few resident aircraft and an excellent 700 metre grass strip.
