© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.6 En-route to Dorset passing over Finmere. Once a Spitfire base it now has limited aerial activity. This is the only section of useable runway which is about 600 metres in length. April 2005
© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.7 Turning finals for the airstrip at Brimpton after cutting short our trip from Sywell to Compton Abbas due to lack of time. This airfield is near Newbury and has a small collection of interesting resident aircraft and offers a very friendly reception. April 2005

© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.10 Finals to Shipdham 20 with wind 290 at 15 knots, This Norfolk airfield was home to USAAF Liberator bombers. The club house has a great selection of original photographs from WWII October 2005

© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.12 After only short flight of 15 minutes from Shipdham and we are on finals for Old Buckenham 25 Just over the cowling part of the old runway can be seen now housing chicken sheds, beyod lies a strip returned to agriculture and beyond that another section of old runway which is home to large stacks of hay and an assortment of machinery. In the distance you can just make out the active runway which now occupies the far eastern end of the old main runway. October 2005
© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.13 Slow moving prop is caught in shot and slighly spoils the view as we approach short finals for Old Buckenham. Diggers and the like can be seen clearly at the end of the runway acting as a stark reminder to keep a little extra height during those last few moments of the approach October 2005
© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.14 Station 144 was how it was officially known as during wartime. This memorial stands outside the airfield clubhouse to remind us of those American airmen who served then. October 2005
© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.15 This feature was spotted just ahead of the leading edge whilst flying back over the area known as Breckland. Hard paved and looking very much like a runway but only a few hundred metres long. Could it be a possible site for Harrier STOL exercises. October 2005
© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.16 The forecasted change in the weather moves in whilst returning to Sibson. Passing over the Great Ouse with Kings Lynn and The Wash on the horizon still bathed in sunshine. October 2005
© Andy Clarke Photo. 10.17 Not your typical aircraft to be seen at a UK grass airfield. This is the Sibson based parachute club aircraft, a Let-410. The short field landings with this machine are a pleasure to watch. October 2005
